Since the dawn of time companies have been fighting against each other to take the customers business, and in the world of tea there is no exception. If you put it to any respectable citizen to name the top shelf teas they will probably come up with three main competitors; Tetley, Typhoo and PG Tips.

We thought it was our duty to open the horizon front on Tea and find the ultimate Brand. Please look over this page and be prepared for shock as you discover what Brand is crowned king.

Three of Nice-cuppa-tea.co.uk's testers were available for this horrific challenge. These Tea-sperts were Matt Green, Callum Green and Matt Curd. We followed the instructions to ensure every cup was a nice cup of tea but we had one aim in mind, which was the nicest cup of tea.

Each cup of tea was exactly the same, 17ml of milk in each cup and no sugar. Every pot of tea had 3 teabags of the same brand. In between each cup of tea we drank half a pint of water to ensure our taste had returned to a neutral state.

The tea was tested on Looks, Aroma, First taste, After Taste and Strength. Each of these categories was to be scored out of 10 to give an overall score of 50. Each tester then wrote down their general thoughts about the tea in a paragraph or two.
