Matt, Matt, Hank and guest Tea Enthusiast Hammo took down towards the south coast for a couple of days of drinking tea, going to TeaSpots and generally having a good time. The weather was on and off all the way down to Lymington. We braved the weather and parked up and got our first tea accompanying snack of the day for our first TeaSpot. Roger 'Tea' reccomended the Pasty shop in Lymington, which can be found after walking from the quay down the cobble stone street and on the right hand side. After getting our Pasties we collected our flasks and sat down on the quay for a Nice flask cup of tea and a quality pasty. We particularity enjoyed the view, the bustling harbour provides hours of entertainment; be it boats, crab fishing or simply tucking into a pasty and a flask of tea. Lymington is a market town with a wide variety of shops from picturesque boutiques on the cobbled quay to the larger supermarkets. The Georgian and Victorian architecture and the varied and colourful history helps to create a distinctive quaintness drawing visitors back time and again. "Lymington is classed as a Sailors town, but I'd class it as a Pasty and flask town. " - Matt Green "It's all very well getting prepared with your flask and snack, but Lymington saves you that trouble, the Pasties are so good the TeaSpot instantly gets full marks from me." - Matt Curd If you find yourself going to Lymington with your flask you may enjoy a walk around the harbour and possibly for those keen walkers among you a walk down to Keyhaven which has great views and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy a cup of tea. |
