Tea Spots

Like many other tea lovers the team like to fill up a flask and set off to a wonderful spot in which to engage in an activity and sit down to a nice cup of tea in a nice area and indulge the ambiance. This page is a list of places or spots that we rate for tea consumption along with other important factors; including views, access to foods and generally good places. We have developed this idea into the world of Geo-Caching and currently have made one Geo-Cache in Swindon. Our player name is 'teateam'

Welcome to another great idea from the Team. Tea in a normal cup at home or work is heaven, but tea in an ideal environment is even better. Thermos innovation has allowed us to take hot tea as far as we like since 1904, but only now has review of places to take your flask begun.

The Swindon Team are based in the picturesque county of Wiltshire, trips to Barbury Castle, Avebury and Stonehenge are some of the most visited by flask tea drinking west country folk. The basis of our scheme is to visit attractions and rate them as places to take a flask.

Part of our task will be to leave our mark by leaving a small environmentally friendly tag somewhere on site, we have done this now in three conties and on return trips noticted that some people pull the tags off so don't worry if you cannot find the tags.

We would love to build up a photo database of people visiting TeaSpots with their flasks. Whether they are there to simply enjoy the place, go to a TeaSpot or even Geo-Cache.

The team are currently scouting the country in search of Tea Spots to tag and recommend, we have started in Wiltshire - you can read more about that at the bottom.

Just a few hints to all about to get a flask ready and set off, our tea spots will focus generally in Hampshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. If you can we would love to see photos of you, and your flask at the Tea Spot.

We have recently made a Geo-Cache in Swindon, we hope to make more and of course we want to put them in TeaSpots. Soon we will log them on this site but currently the one we have made can be found listed on geocaching.com

Happy Hunting!

As I've already said we are covering Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Hampshire. Unfortunately we can not cover more because of our lack of knowledge of good days out further afield. This is a call out to tea enthusiasts in other counties to tell us about Tea Spots we can't cover, please e-mail in good spots you like to take your flask, taking into consideration the factors that make it a good tea spot.

Our two most worked team members Matt and Matt set off for a wonderful day in Wiltshire, armed with their flasks a batch of Pasties and some Nice-Cuppa-Tea TeaSpot tags.

They started of at Barbury Castle, then to Avebury Stone Circle, then finished the day off with a rewarding walk around Cherhill White Horse.

Hampshire

Matt Green, Matt Curd, Hank and guest TeaSpotter Hammo set off for Hampshire in the Easter holidays, armed with many flasks and a variety of biscuits the lads got tagging.

From Lymington Quay, to the Isle of Wight and it's two picturesque battery forts the lads conquered it all, followed by an amusing trip home in which they pay respects to the site where Roger 'Tea' lost his best flask.
